Subject:     INCLUSION OF PUBLIC REPRESENTATIVE IN DISPUTE SETTLEMENT CASES PERTAINING                   TO ELECTRICITY WING.

                   In partial modification to the commercial Circular No.5/95 Dated 8.8.95 (regarding payment of incorrect bill Instruction No.158), it has been decided to include public representatives in existing 4 Committees of various levels to bring transpareny in dealing with consumer disputes.

                    In Commercial Circular no.5/95 Dated 8.8.95:- Under heading competent
authority for review of charges debited,Sr. No3-b be read as under :-

3(b)          In case of amount debited at the behest of checking by staff/or pertaining to
the audited period. Following are the competent Authority to decide such cases:-

iv) Above Rs.1 Lacs and upto Rs. 5 lac Committee Headed by C.E. U.T. with SE(OP), XEN(P&D)/AEE© and M.P.S.Chawla, President Chandigarh
v) Rs. 5 lac to 10 lacs Committee headed by Secy. Engineering with C.E.U.T., S.E.(OP) and Sh. Naveen Miglani, General Secretary , Chamber of Chandigarh Industries , as its members.
vi) Above 10 lacs Committee headed by A.A.U.T with Secy. Engg., C.E.U.T. , S.E.(OP) and Sh. Pankaj Khanna , an industrialist , as its members.
