Promotion: (55%)

a) By promotion as JE-II (Electrical) from amongst following Linemen (34.5%) (40 Posts).

i) Linemen with Diploma in Electrical engineering with 3 years experience in the post after appoint-ment thereto (17%) (20 Posts).

ii) Linemen with a certificate from the Industrial Training Institute having 4 years experience in the post after appointment thereto (8.75%) (10 Posts).

iii) Linemen who are matriculates having 9 years experience as assistant Lineman/ Lineman out of which 4 years should be as Lineman (8.75%) (10 Posts).

b) By promotion JE-II (Electrical) from amongst following Sub- Station Attendant (12.5%) (15 Posts).

i) Sub-Station Attendent with Diploma in Electrical Engineering having 3 years expernence in the post (4.17%) (5 Posts).

ii) Sub-Station Attendent with Certificate from the Industrial Training Institute having 4 years expenence in the post (4.17%) (5 Posts).

iii) Sub-Station Attendent who are matriculates having 9 years experience as Oiler Cleaner out of which 4 years should be in the post of Sub-Station Attendent (4.16%) (5 Posts).

c) By promotion as JE-II (Testing) from amongst following Test Mechanics (3%) (3 Posts).

i) Amongst Matric Pass Test Machanic having 7 years experience as Test Mechanic.

ii) Amongst Test Machanic Matric with ITI certificate in the trade of Craftsman or instrument Mechanic with 4 years experience on the post.

d) By promotion as JE-II (Install-ation) from amongst following Meter Readers (1%) (1Post)

i) Amongst Meter Reader Matric with ITI certificate having 4 years service as Meter Reader who were appointed Meter Reader before notifying these recruitment rules.

e) By promotion as JE-II (Sub-Station) from amongst following SSAs (4%) (5 posts).

i) Matriculate having 9 years experience out of which 4 years should be as SSA.

ii) SSA Matric with certificate from ITI in the trade of Electrician Lineman/ Wireman with 4 years experience.

1. The Superintend-ing Engineer will ensure that before giving promotion to ALM as SSA, no Oiler Cleaner who is eligible for promotion and his service record is satisfactory should be left out.

2. ALM who opt for promotion to the post of SSA will be imparted 6 months training from TTI PSEB.
